St. Mary the Virgin Parish Church, Old Alresford

The regular services each month are displayed at the church or can be found on the benefice calendar.

  • 3rd Sunday: 09.30 Parish Communion (Common Worship)
  • 4th Sunday: 09.30 Holy Communion  (BCP)
  • Other Sundays: 11:00 Morning praise with Sue

Additionally, each Thursday at 9.00am there is a short service of Holy Communion in Old Alresford Place; and on the 1st Sunday of the month at 18.00 there is an informal service at the Old Alresford Cottage Rest Home.

Old Alresford Place is the birthplace of the Mothers’ Union, founded in 1876 by Mary, wife of the Rector, George Sumner. It  is a place of pilgrimage for members of the Mothers’ Union from around the world.
